So I went to Carowinds today...

     So the band, orchestra, and choir from my school all went to Carowinds today for a competition. And I have to say, that was one of the best days of my life. But still not THE best.

     The day started with everyone getting to the park after 1 1/2 hours of being crammed in two buses. Then we made our way off to breakfast, where I didn't eat much, like normal.

     After eating, the band went to get our instruments. Right about that time, Anthony and I decided we'd do a little bug hunting while we were waiting. Anthony caught 2 ladybugs, and I caught 1 grasshopper, which "Sears" was quite interested in.

     So the band eventually warmed up and played for the judges. We sounded AWESOME. When Mr. Bussel went to tell us how the judges scored us, he made it sound like we did awful. He was saying how it only matters how we think we did and that we did our best. Then, he announced that we did get straight superiors from the judges.

     And then we were off to the rides. I was stuck riding rides with Po, Anthony, Chad, and Damon. All boys except for me of course, which wasn't so bad. The first ride that we wanted to ride was the Vortex, which Po and Damon chickened out of. So Chad, Anthony, and I waited in the line for nearly two hours. After about an hour of waiting, I finally saw that Sears was not that far ahead of me in line. So finally came our turn to ride, and I was SURE to pick the exact seat that Sears was in as soon as he got out of it. And the seat was still warm! Oh, and I even got to see him when he took his glasses off for the ride, and may I say, he looked so cute!

     The boys and I rode two more rides: some water rapids ride, which we waited in line for 45 minutes, and the Kaleidoscope. Damon and I rode that one together two times. That one was awesome.

     On the way back home, we all needed to stop to get some dinner. Sears, who was soon joined by other guys on the bus, started shouting that we should stop at Hooters. We thought it would be funny to pull in the parking lot just to play a prank on the second bus following us, but we didn't. So we ended up eating at a fast food restaurant. I was starving by this time because of the small breakfast I ate. This was when Nicole called me on my cell phone to bug me.

     Sooner than I had wanted, we eventually made it back to school. Whenever I watched Sears leave to go home, he was looking intently at somebody out of the window of his car. Who that is? I don't know. So all of the band geeks were running around the empty school at 9:30 at night. And that leads up to me coming home, and typing my heart out on this.

     If you've made it this far through this blog, I'm impressed. Oh, and for anyone who knows nothing about "Sears", it's too long of a story to tell.
